Creating a new secret for an API security key
You can regenerate the secret text string for an API security key (e.g., if the old secret has been compromised).
To create a new secret for an API security key:
- Sign in to Media portal. (Get help resetting your password)
- From the main menu, select Portal Admin > Vyvx API Security Keys.
Media portal lists the Vyvx API security keys for your organization.
- Click the key ID for the API security key you want to generate a new secret for.
Media portal displays the details for the API security key.
- Click Edit Key.
- In the Secret section, click Generate New Secret.
Media portal invalidates the old secret and creates the new secret text string. (To view the new text string, click Show.)
- Click Save.
