Using the Home button on your phone (VVX 3xx/4xx series)
Through the home view you can see if you have new calls and messages. You can also access your directories and change many settings, but default settings typically work for most users.
Note: If you want to make changes to your phone, check the 3xx/4xx online help articles first so you don’t change a setting that makes your phone inoperable.
Home view: navigation
Access home view by pressing the Home button to the left of your display, then pressing the Settings icon. The page indicator at the bottom of the display shows the number of pages that are available and which page you're viewing. (Your options vary based on programming options selected by your organization's administrator.)
To use the home view to access your phone's options:
- Press the Home button.
- In home view, use the left, right, up, and down navigation keys to scroll through your options.
- To access an option, highlight it and press the Enter button (in the center of the navigation keys).
- After pressing the Home button to access home view, you can exit the menu by pressing the Home button again.
The home view shows the features below. Use the navigation keys to access the appropriate feature:
- New Call—place a call from your recent calls list
- Messages—access your voicemail
- Directories—access saved contacts and call history logs
- Forward—send callers to another phone
- DND (do not disturb) —send callers directly to voicemail
- Settings—change settings options such as ring tones, date/time formatting, etc.
- Applications—link to a browser
