Placing calls on hold and resuming held calls
Using the Contact Center Client, you can place a call on hold if you need to locate someone or find some information. If you have Call Waiting turned on, you can also place a call on hold to answer another incoming call.
Placing a call on hold
To place a call on hold:
- With a call in progress, do one of the following:
- From the Call Console pane, click HOLD.
- From your desk phone, press the Hold button or soft key.
- From the Call Console pane, click HOLD.
Resuming a held call
To resume a held call:
- You can resume a call on hold in two ways:
- From the Call Console pane, click ANS.
- From your desk phone, press the Hold button or Resume soft key.
- From the Call Console pane, click ANS.
