Viewing Ethernet On‑Demand connection status
You can view the status of a Lumen® Ethernet On‑Demand connection to track active connections and control network costs, or troubleshoot failed connections in Lumen Connect℠. You can also easily view detailed information about a connection.
To view the status of an Ethernet On‑Demand connection:
- In the Services widget on the homepage, select Ethernet On-Demand from Find by Product or Service Tool.
Lumen Connect lists all your Ethernet On-Demand connections with a status and summary for each connection.
- Status the status of the connection:
- Active: the connection was successfully created and is billing
- Disconnected: the connection is no longer active (disconnected) and is no longer billing (disconnected connections older than 15 days do not show)
- Pending Activate: the connection has been created, but is not yet active (and is not yet billing)
- Connection Unsuccessful: the connection wasn't created successfully. Follow the instructions in the error message. To dismiss the unsuccessful connection from the prioritized list of connections, either click the gear icon or anywhere on the row for the connection, then click Acknowledge.
- Disconnection Unsuccessful: the connection wasn't disconnected successfully. AWS connections will show this status if virtual interfaces aren't removed.
- Active: the connection was successfully created and is billing
- Connection Name: the name of the connection entered when the connection was created.
- From Location: the origination point for the connection.
- To Location: the termination point for the connection.
- Start Date: the date and time billing for the connection began. (This column is blank if the connection was unsuccessful.)
- End Date: the date and time billing for the connection stopped. (This column is blank for active connections.)
- Actions: Use this icon to manage the connection. The actions vary based on the status of your connection. For example, you can disconnect active connections, clone connections, or acknowledge an unsuccessful connection.
