Need help migrating to Zoom? Lumen® Enablement Services for UC&C provides an assisted deployment service with configuration options for establishing users, sites, call queues, desk phones and auto‑attendants when deploying Zoom Meetings, Zoom Rooms, Zoom Phone or Zoom Contact Center. Lumen provides a solution design engineer and implementation project manager to coordinate installing Lumen and Zoom services. Your Lumen project manager will contact you and will schedule your first kick‑off call to begin your installation of services that will include your Lumen account manager. You can purchase this service as an optional add‑on with the licensing or as its own separate line item.
Step 1: Prepare
By now, you've completed your agreement with Lumen (that includes your account details) to help ensure an accurate service deployment. To get started, you'll need to have the correct email address to be used to administer changes to your Zoom account. (Your Lumen email address on file may be different than the user email address you selected to register your Zoom account.)
- If you’re setting up a new Zoom account, we'll confirm your email address with your first order. You’ll then receive a welcome email with a confirmation of the Zoom services you purchased from Zoom or from your Lumen UCC account manager when your licenses are activated. You must then sign in to Zoom and create your account password.
- If you’re transferring an existing Zoom account to Lumen, your Zoom login information remains unchanged. We'll confirm your email when you place your first order.
At a time that's right for you, schedule an initial consultation with Zoom using the Zoom setup wizard.

Step 2: Plan
Self‑managed service: Use the automated port methods within the Zoom dashboard or use Lumen Connect to create a change request to port phone numbers to a Lumen® Voice Complete® service.
With Lumen Enablement Services for UC&C: Within 14 days of your account being activated, a Lumen solution design engineer works with you to finalize service design and plan for implementation.
Porting telephone numbers to Zoom? Lumen provides hands‑on support for porting phone numbers to Zoom. Use this checklist for porting:
- Make sure all your phone numbers remain active before migrating them to Zoom.
- Gather the information for your phone numbers and complete a letter of authorization (LOA) to move them.
- Activate your Zoom portal account so you can submit a port request.
- Coordinate your port request with your existing voice carrier. (If you purchased Lumen Enablement Services for UC&C, we'll help you coordinate porting.)
- For eligible customers, we hold a kickoff call with you to outline the project and discuss milestones, rollout, documentation, and other project details.
- Use Lumen Connect to help you coordinate adds, moves, and port requests for phone numbers.
Step 3: Configure and test
Self‑managed service: Once your Zoom portal account has been set up, use the portal to verify if your phone numbers are portable and create a porting request. Once you’ve created that request and have provided the distinct porting request, your administrator receives a confirmation email from Zoom directly. As your current carrier processes your request, the administrator also receives a porting‑acceptance email and a porting‑completion email.
With Lumen Enablement Services for UC&C:
- Lumen configures your service and completes internal testing to help ensure proper function and performance of your service.
- Your Lumen solution design engineer and implementation project manager configure the service on your behalf and set up auto‑receptionists, call queues, etc.
- Lumen configures voice connect services for Lumen® SIP Connected Audio.
- Lumen completes your phone number adds, moves, and port requests.
- Together, we coordinate a go‑live date.
Step 4: Manage
Once your service is up and running, we hand it over for you to manage. If you purchased Lumen Enablement Services for UC&C, we manage day‑to‑day tasks for you, such as changes to users, call flows, and more on your behalf.
