Removing Defender from Internet On‑Demand
You can use Lumen Connect℠ to remove Lumen Defender℠ powered by Black Lotus Labs® from an Internet On‑Demand connection. Removing Lumen Defender℠ removes protection from the service and any threat data. Download any threat data you want to keep before removing the service. Adding it back later will include an additional one‑time charge.
You can also update the connection bandwidth. If the connection is no longer needed, you can disconnect it.
To remove Defender:
- In the Services widget on the homepage, select Internet On-Demand from Find by Product or Service Tool.
- Click the icon in the Actions column next to the connection you want to update, then click Service Details.
Lumen Connect shows the Service Details page.
- Click Manage Service.
Lumen Connect shows the Manage Service page.
- Select Remove Defender from the action menu.
Lumen Connect warns that the service will be unprotected and adding it again may incur a one‑time charge.
- Click Continue.
- Review the removal request, confirm the billing message, then click Confirm Removal.
