Viewing a traffic summary by application
The DDoS Mitigation and Reporting portal shows a summary of traffic for all monitored networks broken down by application. Negative values indicate traffic out of your network (in to Lumen). Positive values represent traffic into your network (out of Lumen). Each application has a unique color in the graph.
You can also view traffic by profile detail, view a TCP traffic summary, traffic by profile, or a traffic summary by IP-level protocol.
To view a traffic summary by application:
- Depending on your DDoS product, you can access the DDoS Mitigation and Reporting dashboard using one of the following methods:
- Using the left menu, click Services, click Service Portals, then click DDoS Mitigation and Reporting. Confirm that you are going to an external site, then click Log In with SSO.
- Using the left menu, click Monitoring & Reports, click Security Solutions Analytics, then click DDoS Mitigation and Reporting (in either the Reports or DDoS Mitigation Service sections).
- Using the left menu, click Services, click Service Portals, then click DDoS Mitigation and Reporting. Confirm that you are going to an external site, then click Log In with SSO.
The DDoS Mitigation and Reporting portal shows the dashboard.
- From the Traffic tab, click Summary, then click Applications.
The DDoS Mitigation and Reporting portal shows a summary of the traffic for all monitored networks broken down by application.
- To change the traffic summary, do any of the following:
- To modify the summary to show different timeframes click the Time menu, then click Update.
- To specify a timeframe, select a date and time from Start and End, then click Update.
- To switch between bits per second (bps) and packets per second (pps), select an option from the Units menu, then click Update.
- To change the graph from stacked to pie or bar, select an option from the Graph Type menu, then click Update.
- To change the data to show traffic in, traffic out, or total traffic, select an option from the Class menu, then click Update.
- To remove an application from the graph, clear the checkbox on the row for the application.
- To sort the table by a column, click a column header. (To reverse the order, click the header again.)
- To modify the summary to show different timeframes click the Time menu, then click Update.
