Removing Lumen Defender℠ from a service
If you no longer want a service to be protected by Lumen Defender℠ Powered by Black Lotus Labs®, you can remove it from the service in Lumen Connect℠ (using the Lumen Defender℠ dashboard). You can also view a list of protected services.
Caution: Before you remove Lumen Defender℠, we strongly recommend downloading any threat data you want to retain for your records. After you remove Lumen Defender℠, you will no longer have access to its associated threat information for that service.
To remove Lumen Defender℠ from a service:
Step 1: Download Lumen Defender data
To download Lumen Defender℠ data:
- Using the left menu, click Monitoring & Reports, then click Defender.
Lumen Connect shows the Lumen Defender dashboard with a list of all threats for the past 12 hours. At the top, Lumen Connect shows a summary of total threats by risk level, and the percentage change in those threats since the previous time period. Lumen Defender Essentials only shows severe, very high, and high threats.
- Download any threat data you want to retain. Remember, once you remove Lumen Defender℠ from the service, you will no longer have access to this threat information.
Step 2: Remove Lumen Defender℠ from the service
To remove Lumen Defender℠ from the service:
- Click the Settings tab.
Lumen Connect shows the current blocking level for services protected by Lumen Defender℠.
- Click the Service ID on the row for the service you want to disconnect.
Lumen Connect shows the service details for the service.
- In the window that appears, read through the warning, select the checkbox to agree to the terms, then click Confirm Removal.
Lumen Connect removes Lumen Defender℠ from the service you selected.
