Paying by credit or debit card
You can pay your Lumen invoice in Lumen Connect using a credit card: we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We charge a convenience fee (for each account) to pay with a credit or debit card. You can avoid this fee if you pay by bank account. If you'd like your invoice to be paid automatically each month, you can enroll in AutoPay.

Note: You can make payments in Lumen Connect in U.S. dollars (USD) only. For payments in other currencies, please pay by mail or by calling 877‑453‑8353.
To pay by credit or debit card:
- Using the left menu, click Billing, then click Make a Payment.
Lumen Connect shows a list of accounts with a total amount due, due date, and status for each account.
- Do one of the following:
- To pay a single invoice, click Pay (in the Actions column) on the row for the account.
- To pay multiple invoices at once, select the checkbox on the row for the accounts, then click Pay.
- To pay a single invoice, click Pay (in the Actions column) on the row for the account.
- For each account you selected, verify the amount you want to pay. By default, the amount due is shown in the Payment Amount column. To change it, type a different amount in the field. (To remove an account from the payment, click the icon on the row for the account.)
- Click Next.
- Select when you want to make the payment:
- To make the payment today, select the Today Date radio button.
- To make the payment on another day, type a date in the field or use the calendar to select the payment date.
- To make the payment today, select the Today Date radio button.
- Click CONTINUE.
- Do one of the following:
- To pay using a saved credit or debit card, select the card you want to use from the Saved Payment Methods card, then skip to step 10.
- To pay using another card, click the Card tile, then continue with next step.
- To pay using a saved credit or debit card, select the card you want to use from the Saved Payment Methods card, then skip to step 10.
- Fill in the information for the card you want to use:
- Type the credit/debit card number.
- Select the month and year the card expires.
- Type the zip code for the billing address on the card.
- To save this card in Lumen Connect to use for future payments, click the Save Payment Method toggle to turn it on.
- Click CONTINUE.
- Type the credit/debit card number.
- In the window that appears, select the checkbox to agree to the payment terms, then click SAVE.
- Verify that the information you entered is correct, then click MAKE PAYMENT. (If the information is not correct, click PREVIOUS and make your corrections.)
- Review and keep the confirmation information that appears on the screen.
If you requested a confirmation receipt, Lumen Connect sends you an email confirming your payment. (If you don't receive an email, make sure your contact information is correct.) Lumen Connect marks this payment in your payment history so you can track it as it's processed.
Note: This payment process applies to most of our customers, but not all of them. When you sign in to Lumen Connect, if the screens look different than what we describe here, contact us and we can walk you through making a payment. We apologize for any inconvenience.
