Signing up for Edge Bare Metal
To manage Lumen® Edge Bare Metal service, you need a Lumen Connect user profile with Edge User permissions. You can sign up for Edge Bare Metal with or without existing access to Lumen Connect. If you don't currently have a Lumen Connect user profile, you can request one. After we configure your profile, you can then sign in and get started.

Signing up without existing Lumen Connect access
To sign up for Edge Bare Metal without existing Lumen Connect access:
- Navigate to the Edge Account Activation page.
- Click SIGN UP next to I need an account.
- Type your business email, first and last name, and primary contact number.
- Select the I'm not a robot checkbox.
- Review and acknowledge the Lumen Privacy Notice.
- Click NEXT.
- Open your email, then click VERIFY EMAIL ADDRESS in the automated email from Lumen to continue your registration process.
A success message shows that your email is verified and shows your username.
- In the Create your Lumen account password section, create a password for the account. Pay attention to the password guidelines for creating passwords. Confirm the password in the Confirm Password field.
- Save the password you created. You use it to sign in to Lumen Connect.
- Click NEXT.
- Read and agree to the terms provided, then select the I have read and agree… checkbox.

- Click CONTINUE.
- Select your country from the list.
Note: The process to register for an account without Lumen Connect access is available globally for the listed countries. If your country isn't listed, click “contact a representative near you for details.” A Lumen specialist will contact you within three business days to provide assistance.
- Complete the form and then review your information for accuracy. Select the Business address same as invoice address checkbox. If your business address is not the same as your invoice address, leave this checkbox unselected and type the email address where you would like to receive the invoices.
- Read and agree to the terms provided, then select the I have read and agree… checkbox.

- Click CREATE ACCOUNT.
Your account activation request begins processing. A Success! message shows that your account is being activated and synced with Lumen Connect. When we complete your activation, we will email you with a link to sign in to Lumen Connect using the username and password you chose earlier.
- When you receive the email, click the SIGN IN button to access Lumen Connect and start managing your Edge Bare Metal services.
Signing up with existing Lumen Connect access
To sign up for Edge Bare Metal as an existing customer with access to Lumen Connect:
- Navigate to the Edge Account Activation page.
- Click SIGN IN next to I already have an account.
- Type your Lumen Connect username and password.
The form updates based on the Lumen Connect credentials you provided.
- Complete the form and check the information for accuracy. Be sure to select the Customer Number and Billing Account Number you want registered for Edge Services.
- Read and agree to the terms provided, then select the I have read and agree… checkbox.

Troubleshooting Edge Service Manager account activation issues
There are two reasons for an account activation failure message:
- If your organization already has an account, the message Account already exists appears. If you see this message, contact your Lumen Connect system administrator to request access to the account.
- If the account activation fails for unknown reasons, the message Something went wrong appears. If you see this message, contact the Lumen Edge Customer Care team.
