Removing Defender from Internet On‑Demand
You can use Lumen Connect℠ to remove Lumen Defender℠ powered by Black Lotus Labs® from an Internet On‑Demand connection. Removing Lumen Defender℠ removes protection from the service and any threat data. Download any threat data you want to keep before removing the service. Adding it back later will include an additional one‑time charge.
You can also update the connection bandwidth. If the connection is no longer needed, you can disconnect it.
To remove Defender:
- In the Services widget on the homepage, select Internet On-Demand from Find by Product or Service Tool.
- Click the icon in the Actions column next to the connection you want to update, then click Service Details.
Lumen Connect shows the Service Details page.
- Click the Actions button, then click Manage.
Lumen Connect shows the Manage Service page.
- Click Manage for Defender.
Lumen Connect shows Defender information.
- Deselect both essentials and plus, then click Save.
Lumen Connect warns that you cannot monitor and block threats, and adding it again will incur a one‑time charge.
- Click Continue to Review and Submit, review the service details, then click Submit.
