Disconnecting an Internet On‑Demand connection
Use Lumen Connect® to disconnect Lumen® Internet On‑Demand from Equinix, Digital Realty, or your customer port.
You may need to do this if you added a connection to Equinix or Digital Realty before establishing a data center fabric port and attaching it to your equipment.
If you need to update your connection, you can view the service details and update the billing account, add DDoS Essentials, remove DDoS Essentials, add Lumen Defender, and remove Lumen Defender. You can also update the bandwidth if your needs change.
Internet On-Demand disconnects immediately and billing stops once you confirm the disconnect.
Note: Disconnecting releases IP addresses. To avoid reconfiguring your router, you can change to a different bandwidth instead of disconnecting.
To disconnect an Internet On‑Demand connection:
- In the Services widget on the homepage, select Internet On-Demand from Find by Product or Service Tool.
- Disconnect your connection(s) by doing one of the following:
- Click the icon in the Actions column next to the connection you want to disconnect, then click Disconnect.
- Click the icon in the Actions column next to the connection you want to disconnect, click Service Details, then click Disconnect.
- Click the icon in the Actions column next to the connection you want to disconnect, then click Disconnect.
- Confirm the billing notice, then click Confirm Disconnect.
Lumen Connect disconnects Internet On-Demand. Contact your data center provider if you need to disconnect the fabric connection.
